"Mayan Blue Genuine is one of Daniel Smith's PrimaTek colors, this gorgeous green-tinged indigo nearly defies description. Long ago, it adorned the murals and sculpture of the Mayan people and was featured in their rites and rituals. Despite exposure to severe heat and humidity, the color has hardly faded over a thousand years. Now, using methods derived from ancient Mayan chemistry, this unique, metal-free pigment has been recreated using an eco-friendly process. Its versatility, durability and exquisite hue will make it an instant favorite."

The first piece in my Mayan Blue collection! This is a special collection I crafted using a single pigment watercolor on cotton paper. It was a challenging endeavor that yielded excellent results. The subtle blue-green hue of this paint will instill a feeling of calm into any space.
Each piece is set in a stunning antique frame, with the added playful touch of wallpaper on the back adding to the individuality of these artworks. Specific wallpaper design for this piece shown in image.
The frame is a genuine vintage frame, sized at 4 x 5.5. Signed by me and professionally framed with archival materials, UV glass and wire hanger. Painted on cotton paper with Mayan Blue Genuine by Daniel Smith.
Since my art is finished and packaged very carefully to order from my home studio, please allow 5-10 business days for your order to ship. If it is ready to go when ordered it may ship sooner. Please note that vintage frames have wear and imperfections that add to their story and character. All sales are final.
